Jane's work of art + 2

Hi everyone, its Tina from Crafty Urchins i am posting for Sue as she is really busy. I hope you had a good weekend and bank holiday. Sorry it has been a few days since we posted so i'd like to show you 3 card designed by Jane one of Crafty Urchins DT team. Jane has designed these for some of her classes, aren't they beautiful she's very clever.

Jane used the following items to make this card.

Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die.

The Flourish stamp is by Clarity Stamps.

Spellbinders Harvest leaf die.

Marianne designs stamen.

Kars Starburts punch used for large stamen.

Tim Holtz distressed ink, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, Crushed Olive Shabby Shutters.

Jane stamped the flourish randomly over cream card, then embossed them with gold embossing powder. The inked leaves were molded with fingers, then placed over the embossed flourishes in desired shape then fixed with silicon. The various sizes of flowers were them arranged to create the design.Stamens and pearls were added to complete the flower.

Jane used a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch for the finishing touch.

You can see the embossing on the leaves in this picture.

The next card has been designed using Stampendous Ruffled Flower.

It was stamped with Archival black ink on beige card. The edges of the card and the first flower were inked with mahogany distress ink. The second flower was stamped on burgundy card.
Pearl beads were used in the center for a bit of glitz.

Here is a side view which gives you a good clear view of the card.

The second card has been made the same as the first with exception of the ribbons and the sentiment which is by Hero Arts.

Also in the center instead of pearls Stardust Stickles have been used.

Thanks for looking at these cards we do appreciate it, be back soon, lots of love Tina xx

All back from holiday !!

Hi everyone hope you are all well. This is Tina one of Crafty urchins DT team. Sorry there has not been anything new on the blog recently but both myself and Sue have been sunning ourselves (very stressful) on our hols. So we are slowly getting back to normal and i have two cards to show you.

For this card i used Whiff of Joy stamp Pen pal then die cut with Nellie's multi frame.

The papers i used are from Foundations they are double sided and come in 7 colours.

I used a Xcut hearts corner punch and Marianne design flourish.

The sentiment i used is a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket.

I also used Tim Holtz distress ink in Wild Honey around edges of papers to give definition.

I used my beloved Pro markers to colour the image, i used the following shades.

Skin: Ivory, Blush, Pastel Pink for her cheeks.

Hair: Caramel, Cinnamon, Cocoa and Shale.

Top and Hair band and jewellery: Peach, Ginger and Coral.

Trousers: Tan, Caramel, ginger and cinnamon.

Letter: Ivory and Satin.

Flowers and petals in Hair: Leaf Green, Rose pink ( looks lilac in picture, i think it is the Stickles over the top).

I used pale grey 1 all around image for impact.

A touch of stardust Stickles for a bit of bling.
I had stamped the image onto white card but decided it needed to be cream, so i coloured around the image with a ivory pro marker which worked really well. The side view below should have been at the end but i made a boo boo, so pretend it is!

The flower embellishment below is made from EK success large Retro Punch ( three layers). The last layer is a medium Mcgill Retro punch. The edges are sponged with distress ink.
The pink pearl button is from my stash.

As mentioned earlier here is the other card i'v made for you to look at.

For this card i used the gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp Daisy isnt she so cute!!
The papers i used are DCVW stack and Wild Rose polka dots.

The image was cut out with a spellbinders die, labels one.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

The loopy ribbon is from my stash.

On the edges of papers and image i have used Tim Holtz distress ink spun sugar.
As usual i have coloured the image with pro makers in the following shades.

Skin: Blush, Pastel pink and Sun kissed Pink.

Hair: Tan, caramel and Cocoa.

Top: Cerise, Antique Pink and Sun kissed Pink.

Jeans: Pearl Blue, Denim Blue and China Blue.

Grass, leafs and flowers in hair: Mint Green Leaf Green, Pale Pink and Rose Pink.

Pale grey1 was used around image for definition.

I used a white gel pen for highlights.

I have used the EK Success large Retro punch for the first layer of my flower, then i used Mcgill Star flower for next layer, Mcgill medium Retro Punch for next layer, the last layer is a Mcgill small Retro punch.

Thanks for looking i hope enjoyed the cards, back soon Tina.......xx

love you.

good afternoon.dt member NIC here.
first off may i apologise on behalf of us all here at crafty urchins, its been a while since a project has been uploaded but it is the 6 week school holidays and jolly holidays :) time here in crafty urchins land so time is rare.
i do hope you like this card which i am sharing with you today.
i wanted to show you that you don`t need a vast array of promarkers to create an effective card.for this card i have only used 5 promarkers.i have also cased one of my own cards which i did in monochrome.you can view it here. so here is what i have used.
brown card.
paper from my vast stash :)
whiff of joy images willow with coffee and handsome oakley.(i stamped willow first and then masked her by stamping her onto a couple of post it notes and then cut out, place this over your original stamped willow and then stamp oakley where you would like your images to overlap and then remove your mask)
memento rich cocoa ink.
white gel pen.
dovecraft chalks.
promarkers.
hero arts sentiment.

promarkers used are
satin,putty,tan,cinnamon,chestnut.
its really effective and you could adapt this to any colour range you have.i personally prefer either to do the images in monotone colours or like this one in a sepia effect.

and a sideways view.
thanks so much for popping by and i hope you will pop by again soon.
all products used are available form crafty urchins apart from the papers.
please leave a comment if you wish, so we know if you like our projects :)
have a lovely afternoon
